On April 3, 2021, Egypt showcased one of its most remarkable modern events: the “Pharaoh’s Golden Parade.” This multimillion-dollar spectacle paid homage to Egypt’s Original Royals as 18 Kings and 4 Queens made their ceremonial journey through Cairo to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The President of Egypt, having inaugurated the museum’s main hall earlier, stood respectfully as the mummies arrived—a deeply moving moment symbolizing Egypt’s enduring cultural pride. The parade promoted tourism and celebrated a new cultural Ta-Mery Renaissance in Egypt.
Our family, a Nubian lineage with a strong connection to ancient Egyptian civilization, first explored Egypt in 2006. During this journey, we uncovered our ancestral link to the Kemetic civilization through DNA analysis, tracing our lineage from Aswan, Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia. This realization deepened our affinity for Egypt and connected us with extended Egyptian family in Luxor. Watching the Pharaoh’s Golden Parade from America reignited our longing to return and honor our Neteru/Nadjar-u (Royal Ancestors).
This powerful connection to the land inspired us to create the House of Royals Wellness Temple and Retreat (HORWT), offering others a similar soul-awakening experience. Upon returning to Egypt, our family felt an overwhelming sense of renewal and heritage. The House of Royals Wellness Temple and Retreat was born from our journey, designed as a space of healing rooted in the cultural revival of ancient Egypt.
Reflecting the spirit of Kemet, Nubia, Napata, and Cush, HORWT honors the love, peace, and reverence of Egypt’s Pharaohs and Pharaohesses. It is a place where guests can experience renewal through the timeless wisdom of ancient Egypt.
