Arrival: Luxor International Airport
Upon arrival, our team will warmly welcome you with your personalized itinerary in hand. You’ll be transported in a spacious, air-conditioned vehicle to the retreat. Once on-site, we take care of your luggage and check you into your Egyptian-styled Suite—designed to offer both privacy and community, with individual sleeping areas, a shared lounge, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, full bath, and a private balcony. (Private rooms available upon request and subject to availability.)

The retreat is hosted in Luxor, Egypt—home to some of the world’s most powerful spiritual sites, including the Isis Temple in Dendera, Hatshepsut Temple, the Temple of Hathor, and more. Activities take place in serene, culturally significant locations that support reflection and transformation.
Absolutely. Many participants attend alone and find the retreat community warm, supportive, and welcoming. The shared experience often leads to meaningful connections and lifelong friendships.
Most activities are gentle and accessible. Some excursions involve walking through temples, tombs, or natural landscapes, but all movement is paced with care. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies and rest when needed.
Comfortable clothing, a journal, walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, and an open heart. A full packing list is provided after registration, including recommendations for sacred sites and wellness sessions.
Please note that Egypt is an Islamic country and is therefore generally conservative. Modest clothing is respectful and recommended, especially when visiting sacred or public sites. We recommend bringing comfortable, modest clothing that is still suitable for warm weather, walking shoes, a hat or scarf for sun protection, and a reusable water bottle.

Yes. Accommodations are provided in peaceful, culturally rich settings that support rest and reflection. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and designed to enhance your retreat experience.
Meals are provided by retreat accommodations and prepared to high standards. Drink bottled water and be cautious with street food if you have a sensitive stomach. Depending on the package, you will receive nourishing meals daily plus snacks and refreshments throughout your stay.

Travelers coming from North America do not require a visa for Egypt. However, other international travelers may need to do further research. We recommend checking with your local embassy in advance of your trip.

Languages spoken
The official language is Arabic. English is commonly spoken in tourist areas, especially by guides and hotel staff. HORWT is partnered with guides who speak both Arabic and English.
Currency

Hatshepsut Temple
The Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari honors the female pharaoh Hatshepsut and is dedicated to Amun-Ra. This architectural marvel features terraces and colonnades blending with the cliffs. Ceremonies celebrate Hatshepsut’s divine birth and legitimization of her rule, involving offerings of food, drink, and incense, along with hymns sung by priests to connect the pharaoh with the gods. The Temple of Hathor
The Temple of Hathor, located near the Temple of Isis in Dendera, is a beautifully preserved site honoring Hathor, the goddess of love, joy, fertility, and women. This temple celebrates the divine feminine and features columns adorned with images of Bes, the dwarf god representing both humor and protection.
